Throughout the month of August, we’ll be running 10 workshops. These will include:



    • Effective Communication: Part 1 on Monday 17th August 2020 from 1pm-1:45pm. This is the first of 3 consecutive virtual workshops on effective communication. It will cover the topics of the importance of communication, how we communicate, and communication barriers.
    • Effective Communication: Part 2 on Monday 17th August 2020 from 1:45pm-2:30pm. This is the second of 3 consecutive virtual workshops on effective communication. It will cover the topics of communication barriers and how to overcome them, how to improve your communication, and emotional awareness and management.
    • Effective Communication: Open Session on Monday 17th August 2020 from 2:30pm-3:15pm. It is the last of 3 consecutive virtual workshops on effective communication. It is in the form of an open session where people attending the workshop are allowed to talk freely about the topic of effective communication.
    • How to Say No: Self Care on Tuesday 18th August 2020 from 11:00am-11:45am. It is the first of 3 consecutive virtual workshops on how to say no. It will cover the topics of what selfishness is, types of selfishness, and examples of different types of selfishness.
    • How to Say No: Techniques on Tuesday 18th August 2020 from 11:45am-12:30pm. It is the second of 3 consecutive virtual workshops on how to say no. It will cover the topics of why it’s so hard to say no, the problem with saying yes, the importance of context, and how to say no.
    • How to Say No: Open Session on Tuesday 18th August 2020 from 12:30pm-1:15pm. It is the last of 3 consecutive virtual workshops on how to say no. It is in the form of an open session where people attending the workshop are allowed to talk freely about the topic of effective communication.
    • Employment Support on Monday 24th August 2020 from 1pm to 4pm. This will be a virtual drop in session for support with CV’s, Cover Letters, and other employment areas.
    • Making Healthy Choices: Eating on Tuesday 25th August 2020 from 11:00am-11:45am. This is the first of 3 consecutive virtual workshops on making healthy choices. It will cover the topics of the effects of your diet on your brain, what a healthy diet is, and how to make healthy changes.
    • Making Healthy Choices: Addictive Behaviours on Tuesday 25th August 2020 from 11:45am-12:30pm. This is the second of 3 consecutive virtual workshops on making healthy choices. It will cover the topics of the effects of alcohol and smoking on your body, how to cut down and moderate addictive behaviours, and how your body reacts to these changes.
    • Making Healthy Choices: Exercise on Tuesday 25th August 2020 from 12:30pm-1:15pm. This is the last of 3 consecutive virtual workshops on making healthy choices. It will cover the topics of the effects of lack of exercise, how much exercise to do, and how to track your progress.
